Who is on the payroll?
“How many staff do you pay each month, and who prepares the payroll?”
The affiliate learning guide
Welcome, partner. Get to know ZimbaPay Cloud Payroll, explain its value and help a business take the next step.
Listen first
A useful introduction begins with a few simple questions. Give the customer room to explain how they work.
“How many staff do you pay each month, and who prepares the payroll?”
“Do you use spreadsheets, another system or a manual process?”
“What takes the most time—calculations, payslips, changes or reporting?”
Make a note of the need. Ask how often they pay staff, which pay currencies they use and who approves the payroll. These details, staff count and their main challenge help you recommend the next step.
Know what you are introducing
Use the parts of Payroll that matter to the customer’s everyday work.
Add employee records manually or by CSV, then bring their earnings, allowances and deductions together for each pay run.
PAYE, NSSA, NEC and AIDS Levy calculations use the company’s configured rules and setup.
Work with the pay currencies and company settings that fit the business.
Manage leave, attendance, overtime and employee loans alongside payroll.
Download individual PDF payslips or a full batch, plus Excel payroll workbooks for review.
Give staff appropriate roles and keep an audit trail of payroll activity.
Explain the workflow and ask the ZimbaPay team to confirm the customer’s statutory configuration.
Recurring allowances and deductions stay on an employee’s pay setup for future runs. One-off adjustments capture a change for a particular run, such as an additional earning or deduction. Staff loan records bring scheduled repayments and remaining balances into the payroll picture.
A payroll run moves from draft → review → approval → finalisation, with locked history after finalisation. Team roles and the audit trail help the company follow who prepared and approved the work.
The outputs include the payroll register, statutory reports, PDF payslips and Excel workbooks, including ZIMRA earnings output. Show a customer where the information is available for their review and reporting process.
A practical way to say it: “You can prepare the payroll and find the supporting information in one place.” Confirm the customer’s required configuration with the ZimbaPay team.
